Bipartisan US delegation reaffirms support for Tibet, say Trump-Xi meeting does not alter Washington’s position

DHARAMSHALA, Sept. 30: A bipartisan US congressional delegation that met with Tibetan leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Dharamshala on Wednesday reaffirmed Washington’s support for the Tibetan people, stressing that the recent meeting between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping does not alter the US position on China’s treatment of Tibetans and other communities.
