Youth Art Exhibition in Dharamsala Explores Tibetan Martyrdom Through Students’ Eyes

Thirty-one artworks by Tibetan school students are on display in Dharamsala on September 22 as part of “Pawo Pamo,” a youth exhibition organized under an initiative of Khadhok – A Tibetan Artists’ Collective. Inspired by the July 2 self-immolation of Lobga Rangzen outside the United Nations in New York, the exhibition explores how Tibetan children growing up in exile understand martyrdom, homeland and sacrifice.
