Eighteen-year-old Thomas King Jackson recently completed a 1,000-mile (1,610 km) walk for Tibet. He said the goal was to "keep the fire for Tibet burning and don’t forget Tibet” and show the world that there are still people who care about Tibet. Jackson walked from Rexburg, Idaho, to Mount Nebo, Utah, completing the journey in two months. He had originally planned to walk 300 miles but later extended the distance to 1,000 miles, believing it would draw greater attention to Tibet's cause.
