A Gift of Healing: Three Years of Giving Back to Ladakh སྨན་བཅོས་སྦྱོང་བརྡར་བརྒྱུད་ལ་དྭགས་ཀྱི་གཞུང་མང་གཉིས་ལ་བཀའ་དྲིན་རྗེས་དྲན། ཐེ་ཝན་བྱམས་བརྩེ་ཚོགས་པས་འདས་པའི་ལོ་གསུམ་ཙམ་ནས་ལ་དྭགས་ཀྱི་རྒྱལ་ས་གླེར་རྟེན་གཞི་བྱས་པའི་བསོད་ནམས་ནོར་བུ་དྲན་རྟེན་སྨན་ཁང་གི་སྨན་པ་མང་དག་ཅིག་ཐེ་ཝན་དུ་གདན་ཞུས་ཀྱིས་པུས་མོ་དང་དཔྱི་མགོའི་གཤག་བཅོས་སོགས་ཀྱི་དེང་དུས་སྨན་བཅོས་སྦྱོང་བརྡར་གནང་བཞིན་པ་རེད་འདུག ལས་གཞི་དེ་ནི་༸སྐུའི་ཕྱི་ལུགས་ཀྱི་བླ་སྨན་པ་ས་འདུ་ཚང་ཚེ་བརྟན་རྡོ་རྗེ་ལགས་དང་། བཀྲ་ཤིས་ལྷུན་པོའི་མཁན་ཟུར་སྐྱབས་རྗེ་གཟི་རྒྱབ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་མཆོག་རྣམ་གཉིས་ཀྱི་ལམ་སྟོན་དང་། ཐེ་ཝན་བྱམས་བརྩེ་ཚོགས་པའི་སྨན་པ་ Hu ལགས་ཀྱི་སྣེ་ཁྲིད་འོག་དབུ་འཛུགས་གནང་བ་ཞིག་དང་། དེའང་གཙོ་བོ་ས་གནས་ཀྱི་འཕྲོད་བསྟེན་སྲ་བརྟན་བཟོ་རྒྱུ་ཙམ་མ་ཟད། ལ་དྭགས་གཞུང་མང་གཉིས་ཀྱིས་འདས་པའི་ལོ་མང་རིང་ནས་བོད་མིའི་བླ་ན་མེད་པའི་དབུ་ཁྲིད་སྤྱིོ་ནོར་༸གོང་ས་༸སྐྱབས་མགོན་ཆེན་པོ་མཆོག་ལ་འཆང་བའི་དད་སེམས་དང་བཙན་བྱོལ་བོད་མི་རྣམས་ལ་བྱམས་བརྩེ་དང་རྒྱབ་སྐྱོར་གནང་བར་བཀའ་དྲིན་རྗེས་དྲན་ཞུ་སླད་སྤེལ་བ་ཞིག་རེད་འདུག For the past three years, the Jamtse Medical Association in Taiwan has been working with doctors from Ladakh’s Sonam Memorial Hospital, providing specialized medical training in advanced knee and hip replacement surgery. The initiative is a gesture of appreciation to the people and government of Ladakh for their longstanding reverence and support for His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and for the warmth and hospitality they have extended to Tibetans over the years. Through this project, the medical team hopes to give back to a community that has stood by the Tibetan people for generations. We sat down with the people behind this initiative to hear what inspired the project, what it has achieved over the past three years, and what they hope it will mean for the future of healthcare in Ladakh.
