India, China agree for two more meeting points for Senior Commander-level meetings, early harvest of border limitation

New Delhi [India], August 26 (ANI): In a significant decision, India and China have agreed to additional two meeting points for holding the General Level Mechanism or the Senior Highest Military Commander meeting (SHMC) with the objective of improving border management measures.

Two additional channels of border military hotline in the Eastern and Middle Sectors have also been agreed.

This is among the ‘Eight Points of Outcomes and Consensus’ reached during the 25th round of Talks between Special Representatives of India and China on the Boundary Question.

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi co-chaired the 25th round of the Special Representatives’ Talks in Beijing on Tuesday.

Ministry of External Affairs said in a release on Wednesday that the two leaders had “a candid and in-depth exchange of views" on the India-China boundary question and reached eight points of outcomes and consensus.
