New Delhi [India], August 28 (ANI): India and China will now work out how best to implement an eight-point consensus reached during the 25th round of Special Representatives (SR) talks on the boundary question, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said on Friday.

MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, responding to questions on the recent talks between National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi during the former’s recent visit to Beijing, said both sides had agreed on an eight-point agenda and would now determine how it could be operationalised.

“The SR talks just finished in Beijing. Both sides have agreed on an eight-point agenda, and now it is for both sides to sit together and see how best it can be activated or inhibited," Jaiswal said.

Asked when the agreed measures would be activated, he said the two countries would have to jointly work out the modalities for taking them forward.
