The two-day meeting, running from August 27 to 28, is attended by 46 participants representing both modern allopathic and traditional Tibetan medical systems. Mental health has emerged as another significant area of discussion, with participants examining ways to improve treatment facilities, strengthen care and respond more effectively to the growing demand for mental health services. Beyond specific medical conditions, the meeting is also addressing broader health-policy issues. Participants are expected to discuss the formulation of a Tibetan exile health policy and the selection of members for a future health advisory board.
