Tibetan Youth Congress called on Tibetans worldwide to join a new campaign countering Chinese government narratives about Pawo Lobga Rangzen’s self-immolation outside United Nations headquarters. Speaking in Dharamshala on July 27, TYC General Secretary Tenzin Lobsang urged scholars, writers, researchers, artists, filmmakers, students, journalists, professionals, and social media creators to use documentation, research, art, and public voices to challenge disinformation. TYC also said 64 Tibetans have joined its chain hunger strike since July 19, which will continue until the 49th day after Rangzen’s July 2 self-immolation.
