Zanskar Youth Joins Tibetan Activist’s Walk to Protect the Tibetan Language
An unexpected show of solidarity unfolded in Zanskar when local youth joined Tibetan activist Kelsang Tharchin during his ongoing walk to protect the Tibetan language. Stanzin Choedak, a native of Zanskar, said he was inspired by Tharchin’s determination and decided to join him as he passed through the region. Tharchin has been walking for over a month to honor late Tibetan activist Lobga Rangzen and protest China’s ethnic unity law.
